Ravenna is the largest city of Romagna with a thousand-year history of great events. Ravenna was three times capital of the Roman Empire, the kingdom King Theodoric of the Goths and of the Byzantine Empire in Europe. And town to exile Dante whose tomb is located in Ravenna.

- Basilica of Sant 'Apollinare Nuovo (the beginning of the sixth century, with partial redecoration in the second half of the sixth century)
- Mausoleum of Theodoric (520 approx)
- Arian Baptistery (first half of the sixth century)
- Basilica of San Vitale (first half of the sixth century)
- Basilica of St. Apollinaris in Classe (consecrated in 547)
